In this session, Dr. Deal will use her 20 years of experience as a nurse, pharmacist, and senior leader to review and navigate the critical checkpoints in clinical pharmacy practice and medication management. The objectives include: Understanding critical regulatory requirements regarding national patient safety goals, Hospital-Based Inpatient Psychiatric Services (HBIPS), and core measures; analyzing the implementation and processes of an electronic health record to increase compliance with regulatory requirements, and developing framework for implementation of a critical checkpoint specific to your inpatient behavioral health facility.
