This presentation will share guidance and demonstrate the importance of advance care planning in hospice during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Dr. Levetown will review up-to-date epidemiology of risk in COVID-19 and how it applies to hospice patients and others living with chronic illness, provide a clear picture of clinical critical illness in COVID-19, and discuss the outcomes of critical illness in hospice patients. The role of the ICU and CPR on hospice patients more generally will be included. Through role play, Dr. Levetown will provide “how-to” education on discussion approaches that support effective advance care planning.
