Keynote address: Time for a resilience reset, Anne Grady

Anne Grady will follow up with her keynote address. With anxiety and stress at an all-time high, healthcare workers are at a heightened risk of burnout. Organizations that have the ability to embrace uncertainty, navigate ambiguity, and use adversity as a tool for growth have teams with higher engagement, improved performance, and better patient outcomes.

Whether you are on the front line treating patients, or working behind the scenes, the ability to successfully navigate change and rise above adversity boils down to one word: RESILIENCE. We often think of resilience as something you realize after a challenging event, but the truth is, resilience is built during difficult times like these. Fortunately, resilience is a set of habits, skills, and behaviors that can be developed. This session will explore how to:

  • Cultivate a resilient mindset that includes understanding your brain, habits, emotional intelligence, and beliefs.

  • Build a skill set with the ability to develop positive emotions, manage stress, and engage in activities that are good for us, such as humor, social connection, mindfulness, and self-care.

  • Focus on what is important by learning how to reset without relying on a reactive mindset.
