Jeanette Byrne earned her MLT(ASCP) while serving in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. She worked as a generalist in the laboratory for 5 years in the military and then another 5 years in a Level 2 trauma center as the Technical Group Lead. While working in the Trauma center Jeanette finished her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management. After earning her degree Jeanette moved into a system specialist role for Centura Health. While in this role she was responsible for ensuring the lab systems compliance with rules, regulations, and guidelines for CLIA, CAP, the Joint Commission, and Medicare.



Jeanette moved into IT working the LIS team for Centura Health for 4 years. Jeanette earned her Epic CP Beaker and Epic Bridges certifications and implemented Epic Beaker, WellSky Transfusion, and ImmuLINK in 17 facilities.



Jeanette started at Children’s Hospital Colorado in May 2018 on the LIS team in IT. While at Children’s she implemented Epic Beaker, WellSky Transfusion, WellSky Biotherapies Lab, WellSky Blood Centers, and ImmuLINK. Her most recent accomplishment was helping to bring up the Convalescent COVID-19 Plasma product in both WellSky Blood Centers and WellSky Transfusion.
