Stuart Archer began his health care career at the bedside, as a nurse’s aide in a skilled nursing facility. From that formative experience he developed a keen understanding and recognition of the struggles many patients, specifically older adults and seniors, endure to manage their illnesses. Since taking the helm at Oceans Healthcare in 2014, he has shepherded a period of unprecedented growth, earning the company designations as one of the 50 fastest-growing companies in North Texas as determined by the Dallas Business Journal and as one of Inc. 5000’s fastest-growing companies in America.
Previously, Archer served as chief operating officer at LifeCare Management Services, a pioneer in long-term acute care. Prior to LifeCare, he served more than a decade as senior vice president of market development for LHC Group, a leading national provider of post-acute care services with 350 locations across 29 states.
He is passionate about addressing barriers to mental health treatment and what health care organizations need to do to meet the ever-increasing demand for services. Archer is a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Association of Behavioral Healthcare, an advocacy organization committed to working to ensure public policies, laws and regulations that support the needs of people who live with mental and addictive disorders.
