Layla Campbell is a Registered Pharmacy Technician with over 22 years NHS experience; she has devoted her career to Newcastle Hospitals where her passion for patient care has taken her into the emerging area of Pharmacy Clinical Health Informatics utilising electronic systems to support provision of exemplar patient care.
Layla holds an MSc in Health Informatics from Sheffield University and was proud to be awarded the Information School Prize 2017 for her sustained high achievements at distinction level. To date her research has focussed on the specialist area of alert presentation exploring the possibilities of alert tailoring to reduce alert fatigue.
When not immersed in Clinical Informatics Layla can often be found wandering along the Northumberland coastline with her three children or competing in a local sporting event, where her love for running and martial arts goes miles to combat daily pressures.
