Speaker Bio
Jon Elwell is Chief Executive Officer at Kno2. He leads the company in its mission to solve interoperability for the healthcare industry and truly transform the way patient information is exchanged. Kno2 is a purpose-driven company passionate about eliminating fax from healthcare. Our commitment to consumers, providers and all other healthcare stakeholders across the care continuum is to educate, optimize and drive the implementation of existing and emerging electronic document exchange and content standards throughout the care continuum. Where standards don’t exist or require optimization, Kno2 will be the voice and lead the effort on behalf of our customers and providers, ensuring not only connectivity, but also meaningful interoperability and consumption of information through normal care coordination workflows. Jon insists on having representation from Kno2 at NASL, HIMSS, DirectTrust, Carequality and CommonWell Health Alliance, many of which are elected and multi-term seats. While Kno2’s Interoperability as a Service has its place in every care setting, Elwell initially focused on charting a course for the post-acute providers – skilled nursing, assisted living, behavioral health, therapies and others – where interoperability was lacking. Now that 75% of the technology vendors who support that market are largely integrated to Kno2, Jon is currently driving expansion to the remaining healthcare sectors. Responsible for investor relations, Jon has been instrumental in the growth and development of Kno2, as evidenced with the capital infusion to drive the internal technology to the cloud and in staffing the organization with highly qualified and capable professionals whose passion aligns with the company’s mission. He has served on the Board of Directors since 2013. Prior to Kno2, Jon served as Vice President of Healthcare for the Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA), where he helped hardware and software technology companies strengthen and grow their service lines. Before that he spent 17 years as an executive at IKON Office Solutions and Ricoh Corporation, including Marketplace Vice President of Sales, Region Vice President of Sales, Vice President and General Manager of the West Region and Vice President of Healthcare.
