Amy has been a social worker for over 25 years in various non-for profit entities including county social service, mental health and health care settings. She has worked in hospice for the previous 15 years in bereavement support and has been a national Speaker on topics of grief self-care and death awareness for the last 5 years.
Amy is recognized as a Fellow in Thanatology ( the study of death dying and bereavement) with the National organization ADEC( Association with Death Education and Counseling.) She earned her Master’s in Education with the University of Minnesota focusing on adult learning and is personally very interest in each person’s own capacity and their interest to grow, learn and be their best. She has educated and supported several roles in grief, either personal professional or societal. She has a strong back group with youth, families and everyday life work with people.
