Kathy Greenlee is the Senior Director for Elder Justice Programs at ADvancing States, the national membership association for state aging, disability, and Medicaid LTSS agencies. She also works as a consultant through Greenlee Global LLC. Kathy is a former government official with 25 years of state and federal experience. In 2009, she was appointed U.S. Assistant Secretary for Aging by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the U.S. Senate. She was responsible for the creation of the Administration for Community Living at the Department of Health & Human Services. Prior to leaving for Washington, Kathy worked for 18 years in Kansas state government. She was the Kansas Secretary for Aging for Governor Kathleen Sebelius. She also served as the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman. Kathy is a University of Kansas graduate, having received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a J.D. from the School of Law. More than anything else, Kathy loves to travel.
