Dr. Klumpp serves as Professor of medical oncology and Director of the Cancer Informatics Data System team at Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Over the past 30 years Dr. Klumpp has devoted about half of his professional effort to traditional academic patient care, teaching, and research activities, mostly in the areas of bone marrow transplantation and transfusion medicine, and spent the remainder of his time designing, implementing, and consulting on cancer research information systems for a variety of organizations in the public, private, and academic sectors. Dr. Klumpp graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine in 1982, served his internship and residency in internal medicine at Dartmouth, completed post-doctoral fellowships in hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplantation at Harvard, and received his Statistical Analysis Systems (SAS) Certified Professional certificate from SAS in 2002.
