Tonya has more than 25 years of psychiatric nursing experience, starting her career in the early 1990s in direct patient care and working for both non-profit and for-profit organizations. She worked in behavioral health managed care for several years where she obtained a thorough understanding of the collaborative relationship between the patient and the medical team. Tonya transitioned into the administrative side of healthcare with roles that focused on regulatory compliance, quality outcomes and nursing leadership.
