Description
On October 1, 2019, CMS will implement a new reimbursement methodology called Patient Driven Payment Model, or PDPM. In preparation for that dramatic change in methodology from the current RUG-IV system, we have been “in the field” conducting analyses, and developing insights for organizations and facilities to help them understand and prepare for the changes that are coming. Our analyses will provide insight into what this new methodology of reimbursement will mean for them. In the course of that work, we have made numerous insightful discoveries that we will share with the audience. We will talk about traps to avoid in MDS documentation, and tips for success. We will share our observations of the most common mistakes people are making that will impact PDPM reimbursement, as well as tips for how to avoid some of the common pitfalls that can result in decreased PDPM reimbursement, or even outright rejection of the claim. Let us share our experiences, and insight developed from these analyses of actual facilities with you so that you may gain a deeper understanding of critical components and actions you can take today to prepare for PDPM October 1st.
