Date & Time
Tuesday, September 13, 2022, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Description

According to PHI, over 7.4 million new direct care workers are needed by 2029 to meet the industry’s growing needs—and the challenge of attracting new entrants to the field and retaining existing workers is approaching crisis levels. To help agencies address this need, CareAcademy conducted a survey of more than 1,500 caregivers nationwide. Join Jessica Jones, Outcomes Manager at CareAcadmey, as she discusses the results of this caregiver survey and its implications for agencies in their efforts to recruit and retain caregivers. This session will provide insights on caregivers’ interest in pursuing further education and the barriers they face in doing so. You will learn about the role of employers in staff education and examine data signaling an overwhelming preference to work for and to stay with agencies that provide resources for ongoing education.
