James Cox is a native of northeast Arkansas and attended Arkansas State University, completing a bachelor's in psychology. After graduating from ASU in 2007 and getting married only weeks later, he and his family moved to Texas where he attended Baylor University and completed a master's of theological studies. After returning to Jonesboro in 2009, they welcomed their baby girl in 2012, later to be joined by their son in 2015. James has spent 9 years working for a pediatric therapy company in a variety of roles including Mental Health Paraprofessional, Admissions Coordinator, Business Development Rep, Clinic Director, Director of Marketing & Admissions and lastly as Chief Operating Officer. After a company closure in 2018, he joined a local hospital as Program Director for Behavioral Health where he and his team managed 24 inpatient adult psych beds, 16 inpatient geri psych beds, an outpatient behavioral health clinic and other behavioral health support services for the system. James was pleased to join ACCH in November after having the opportunity to meet the owner and other members of leadership.
