Speaker Bio
Dr. Jeffery Copeland began his journey in the medical field as a participating in a community service program with shock trauma ICU patients while at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. After graduating with his bachelor's in biology, Dr. Copeland attended medical school at the University of Tennessee and thereafter internal medicine residency at UT as well. While there he had the opportunity to be heavily involved in their LTAC, which was within the hospital. He particularly enjoyed following patients in the ICU and then continuing to follow them when they moved to the LTAC; he found that this continuity of care and more chronic management of critical conditions was particularly satisfying. After graduation Dr. Copeland moved to Jonesboro, AR, to work at NEA Baptist on their floors and ICUs. He quickly moved to work within their LTAC and has since served as Medical Director, and currently Chief Medical Officer for Arkansas Continued Care Hospital.
